The Lightning finished the regular season with an overall record of 50 wins and 24 losses, while the Red Wings ended up with 43 wins and 25 losses. Now they face off in a postseason series which will include some significant north-south travel distance despite the two teams being in the same division, meaning that fatigue could end up being a factor in determining the winning between these two fairly closely matched squads.
