Seattle Seahawks vs Green Bay Packers game: Russell Wilson seeks respect

The Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers prepare to face off in the NFC Championship football playoff game, with the winner receiving a ticket to the Super Bowl and the loser considering the whole thing to be a disappointing season. There are subplots left and right. Head coach Pete Carroll and the Seahawks are looking to repeat as champions. Russell Wilson is trying to earn respect despite already having one ring. And Aaron Rodgers is playing on an injured calf.

Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks have home field advantage working in their favor, including the infamous “12th Man” home crowd. There are questions as to whether the Green Bay Packers defense can stop the Seahawks running game, and there are equally intriguing questions as to what wacky thing Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch will do next. On the Packers offense, Aaron Rodgers is injured to the point that he couldn’t even job down the field to huddle after a long pass completion, and appeared to be skipping in order to work around his calf injury. Yet even with the physical limitation, he did enough to defeat the Cowboys in a close game. Now, can he do enough to take down the defending Seahawks?

The Seattle Seahawks vs Green Bay Packers NFC Championship NFL playoff football game takes place on the afternoon of January 18th on FOX.
