Tony Awards tonight: host, start time, TV channel, free live stream

The 2014 Tony Awards celebrating the best of Broadway air tonight with host Hugh Jackman, fresh off his sixth consecutive portrayal of Wolverine. Tonight’s awards take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, with the city being the heart of the live stage performance scene in the United States. The awards are airing live on network television and stage fans can also watch online via free live stream.

Tonight’s Tony Awards live performers include Sting, Neil Patrick Harris, Alan Cumming, Fantasia, Sutton Foster, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, and Idina Menzel. Presumably John Travolta won’t be on hand tonight to botch Idina Menzel’s name this time. Harris has been known to host the Emmy Awards, but will merely be a performer tonight.

Tonight’s 2014 Tony Awards have a start time schedule of 8:00pm eastern time and air on television on TV channel CBS. The awards can also be watched online as a free live stream on eventbrite.com and similar video streaming sites.
