Green Bay Packers vs St Louis Rams game: score schedule winner

The Green Bay Packers and St Louis Rams faced off today for the first daytime football game of the NFL preseason schedule. The two teams face off in Missouri this afternoon, each with questions still to be answered. The Packers are primarily looking for their offense and defense to click at the same time so they can get back to the Super Bowl, while the Rams are hoping their ongoing rebuilding project will finally pay off. Both teams saw signs of hope in today’s game, albeit in varying degrees, with the final score telling the story.

Aaron Rodgers and Sam Bradford both looked sharp in first quarter action. Rodgers completed 11 of 13 passes for the Packers and threw two touchdown passes, one of which was called back on a Green Bay penalty. Bradford was 9 of 12 with one touchdown for St Louis. But the difference came down to the running games. The Rams had just 78 yards rushing total for the night, while the Packers had 125 yard rushing.

In the end the Green Bay Packers were the winner of the St Louis Rams by a final score of 21-7. The next game on the Packers schedule is Friday night at home against the Oakland Raiders. The next game on the schedule for the Rams is at the Cleveland Browns on Saturday night.
