Green Bay Packers vs Tennessee Titans game: score, schedule

The Green Bay Packers and the Tennessee Titans faced off in their first preseason NFL football game on the schedule tonight in which one team is trying to get its All Pro pieces to gel and the other is looking for a fresh start with a new head coach. Ken Whisenhunt takes over the reins from Mike Munchak in Nashville, and tonight will be his first on-field action in that capacity. In the end, the game was decided by a late touchdown and a four point score.

Green Bay sat Aaron Rodgers and instead featured backup quarterbacks Scott Tolzien, who performed well with a passer rating of one hundred, and Matt Flynn who had a more pedestrian night for the Packers. Tennessee gave limited playing time to Jake Locker and rookie Zach Mettengberger, both of whom failed to make an impression, as Charlie Whitehurst looked strong for the Titans.

The Tennessee Titans were the winners over the Green Bay Packers by a final score of 20-16. The next game on the Packers schedule is at the St Louis Rams on Saturday afternoon, while the next game on the schedule for the Titans is at the New Orleans Saints on Friday night.
