The 2014 NFL Draft, the annual ray of hope for fans of failed pro football teams everywhere, finally arrives this week. And to add to the excitement, the league will once again stretch the draft picks out over the course of three days. The first round of the draft, where every team gets a shot at a premier level player out of college (unless they’ve traded the pick away), draws the broadest attention and will air on two different TV channels in prime time this Thursday. The Houston Texans have the number one overall pick, and while predictions run the gamut, we expect they’ll take quarterback Johnny Manziel over Jadaveon Clowney - but don’t expect Clowney to get past pick number two. Here’s a look at television coverage and the full draft order for all thirty-two NFL teams.
ESPN and on the NFL Network will both air the 2014 NFL Draft in its entirety, with each augmenting it with real time analysis from their own respective network commentators. The first round of the draft airs live on Thursday night May 8th at 8:00pm eastern time, 5:00pm pacific time, and later rounds are being broadcast on Friday and Saturday.
