NFL Sunday Night Football game tonight: Packers vs Seahawks preview
Sunday Night Football returns in its second game of the season tonight as the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks enact a rematch of last season’s NFC Championship game matchup. The Seahawks enter the game having lost their opener to St. Louis, while the Packers are 1-0 after an opening day win over Chicago.
The last time these two teams played, the Packers appeared to be on the way to winning the game and advancing to the Super Bowl. But the Seahawks made a late comeback effort which won them the game instead, and they went on to lose the Super Bowl on the final play of the game. Now Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay will be looking for not just revenge, but also the opportunity to climb to a 2-0 record which would put them in a strong position in the NFC North. Meanwhile Marshawn Lynch and the Seahawks are looking to get back to 1-0 in order to avoid falling behind in the NFC West.
Tonight’s NFL Sunday Night Football game starts at 8:30pm EST and airs on NBC in all markets. The Packers have the home field advantage in Lambeau Field, though at this point in the season, the weather will not be a factor.
