NASCAR Sprint Cup race, Bristol 500 time TV schedule live stream

The NASCAR Sprint Cup race schedule heads to Bristol today for the Food City 500, which sees the points standings continue to heat up as the 2015 season gets underway. Kevin Harvick continues to top the leaderboard and he has some familiar faces trying to catch up with him as he tries to continue his dominant NASCAR stretch. Today’s race has an early start time and airs on a national TV channel as well as a live stream online option for those looking to tune in via a computer or mobile touchscreen device.

Harvick leads the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings by 26 points heading into today’s race at Bristol, with Joey Logano his closest pursuant in second place. Martin Truex Jr is in third place, forty points back, while Brad Keselowski is in fourth place, sixty points back. Casey Kahne rounds out the top five. Jimmie Johnson, who once had a multi-year dominant stretch of his own, is in sixth. Dale Earnhardt Jr is in seventh place as he looks to overcome a slow start to the season. Bristol Motor Speedway has generations of NASCAR history behind it along with tight racing on a fairly short track. As always, the winner of today’s race qualifies for the Chase for the Cup well ahead of the season’s end, so the action will be as playoff-esque as ever.

Today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Bristol 500 race has a start time schedule of 12:30pm eastern time on television and a 1:00pm green flag race start and airs on TV channel FOX as well as a live stream online.

Martinsville NASCAR race today: Kroger 250, TV channel live stream

Today’s NASCAR race heads to the familiar Martinsville speedway, but features a different set of drivers than audiences may have been expecting. The Xfinity Nationwide Series is on hiatus this weekend, as the stock car racing circuit gives the daytime Saturday slot to the Camping World Truck Series race, the Kroger 250. It has an afternoon start time and airs on TV channel that most viewers will have to hunt for, but is also available as a live stream online option.

That means the NASCAR Xfinity Series leaderboard is frozen this week, keeping Ty Dillon on the top of the heap and Chris Buescher five points behind him. Instead the action will be between Tyler Reddick, who leads the Camping World Series in points, and Matt Crafton, who is just two points behind him, with Erik Jones seven points off the pace. Martinsville is a historic short track NASCAR track in Virginia measuring just over half a mile long, making for tight racing and friction in the action.

Today’s Kroger 250 NASCAR Truck race has a start time schedule of 2:30pm eastern time and airs on TV channel Fox Sports 1 (FS1). The race is also being made available as a live stream online.

Xfinity Nationwide Series NASCAR schedule: California race time today

NASCAR races into the California portion of its 2015 today, and the Nationwide Series now has a new name: the Xfinity Series. The stock car junior circuit has changed title sponsors but still has most of the same faces, as young drivers on their way up mix with Sprint Cup stars who are double-dipping. Today’s race at Fontana has a late start time for east coast viewers due to the time zone differences.

The NASCAR Xfinity standings are topped by Ty Dillon, whose older brother Austin has been doing well on the Sprint Cup circuit. Last year’s Nationwide winner Chase Elliott started slowly but has been gradually moving his way up the standings, attempting to put himself in position to repeat as Xfinity champion. And even as Kevin Harvick dominates the NASCAR Sprint races this season, he’s been known to pop into Saturday races as well. That makes for a crowded field and an unpredictable finish, hence by the Xfinity Series has been rapidly growing in popularity over the past few years.

Today’s NASCAR Xfinity Nationwide Series race has a scheduled start time of 4pm on the east cost and 1pm on the west coast, airing on television on Fox Sports 1.
